For Physicians Considering An Exit Or Partnership

A transition built around continuity for you and your patients

Retiring without a buyer is common in pediatric primary care. Here's what working with Hyacinth actually looks like.

01

A confidential conversation, first

We start by understanding your practice, your timeline, and what matters most to you in a transition, before any terms are discussed.

02

You retain clinical ownership

Consistent with Maryland's CPOM doctrine, medical decision-making and practice ownership stay with the physician. Hyacinth takes on the administrative and financial operation.

03

Patient continuity comes first

Where a sale is involved, we prioritize retaining the existing provider for a minimum of one year post-transition, protecting established patient relationships during the handoff.

04

A clean, favorable exit

Where real estate is part of the picture, we can structure terms that prioritize a straightforward exit over maximizing sale price, particularly valuable for a retiring physician who wants simplicity.

Leadership

Built and run by people who know the operating model firsthand.

Uchenna Amazu

Uchenna Amazu

Founder, Hyacinth MSO

Uchenna Amazu founded Hyacinth MSO to solve a problem he saw up close: independent pediatric practices in underserved communities are being priced out of the future, caught between rising administrative burden and a private equity industry with little incentive to preserve physician autonomy.

The model behind Hyacinth was built during his time as a Koch Center for Family Enterprise Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School. There he developed the strategic and technological framework for an MSO and utilized two operating clinics in Prince George's County, MD, as a proof-of-concept. Rather than build in theory, he built and deployed systems Hyacinth now offers directly at Rose Pediatrics Care, working alongside Dr. Chinyere Amazu, before offering it to other practices.
